Installation Tips – Step-by-Step:

Step 1: Prepare the 3/4 in. Female Copper Fitting

• Clean the inside of the female fitting using a wire brush or emery cloth to remove oxidation and debris.

Step 2: Apply Flux and Solder

• Apply a thin layer of lead-free flux to the male sweat end and the inside of the copper fitting.

• Heat evenly with a propane torch until the flux bubbles.

• Touch lead-free solder to the joint and allow it to flow via capillary action for a secure, leak-proof seal.

• Allow the joint to cool naturally before handling.

Step 3: Prepare the 1/2 in. PEX-A Pipe

• Slide a PEX expansion sleeve or ring onto the end of the PEX-A pipe.

• Fully insert the PEX-A pipe onto the fitting barb.

Step 4: Secure the PEX-A Connection
