Installation Instructions – Step by Step
Tools & Materials Needed:

PEX tubing cutter

Copper tubing cutter

Emery cloth or wire brush

Torch, flux, and lead-free solder (for sweating copper)

PEX crimp tool or clamp tool

Copper crimp rings or stainless steel clamp rings (sold separately)

Go/No-Go gauge for crimp verification
Step 1: Prepare the Copper Pipe

Cut copper pipe square using a tubing cutter.

Clean the end thoroughly with emery cloth or wire brush.

Apply a thin, even layer of flux.
Step 2: Sweat the Copper Connection

Insert the copper pipe into the female sweat end of the elbow.

Heat evenly with a torch until flux sizzles.

Apply lead-free solder and let it flow into the joint.

Allow the joint to cool naturally.
Step 3: Prepare the PEX Tubing

Cut PEX tubing squarely.

Slide a crimp ring or clamp ring over the tubing.
Step 4: Connect the PEX Tubing

Insert tubing fully onto the PEX barb.

Position the crimp or clamp ring 1/8"–1/4" from the tubing end.
Step 5: Secure the Connection

Copper Crimp Rings: Use a calibrated crimp tool and verify with Go/No-Go gauge.
