Description / 1 x 1 x 3/4 in. PEX-A Reducing Tee (NSF Lead Free Brass F1960 PEX Cold Expansion Fitting)
The 247Garden 1 x 1 x 3/4 in. PEX-A Reducing Tee is a premium brass cold expansion fitting engineered for use in PEX-A plumbing systems. Designed under ASTM F1960 standards, this reducing tee provides a reliable transition from two 1-inch PEX-A lines to a 3/4-inch branch line, making it ideal for potable water distribution and hydronic heating systems. Manufactured from high-quality lead-free dezincification-resistant (DZR) brass, it ensures long-term durability, corrosion resistance, and consistent performance even under demanding conditions.
The larger internal diameter of 247Garden ExpansionPEX fittings allows for up to 25% greater flow compared to standard insert fittings, improving system efficiency. NSF certified and compliant with UPC, IPC, and cUPC codes, this reducing tee meets the highest plumbing standards for residential and commercial applications.

Installation Guide
Installing the 247Garden 1 x 1 x 3/4 in. PEX-A Reducing Tee is simple when using the correct expansion tools and sleeves. Follow these steps for a proper installation:
-
Prepare the PEX-A Tubing
-
Cut the PEX-A tubing square using a proper PEX tubing cutter. Ensure the cut is clean and free of burrs.
-
Verify that the tubing end is round and undamaged before installation.
-
-
Position the Expansion Sleeve
-
Slide the correct-size PEX-A expansion sleeve or ring over the tubing end. The sleeve must be positioned flush with the end of the tubing.
-
-
Expand the Tubing
-
Use an ASTM F1960-approved cold expansion tool (sold separately) to expand the PEX-A tubing with the sleeve in place.
-
Rotate the tool slightly between expansions to ensure even stretching of the tubing.
-
Complete the required number of expansions until the tubing slides freely over the fitting barb.
-
-
Insert the Reducing Tee
-
Quickly insert the 247Garden brass reducing tee into the expanded tubing end until it reaches the full depth of the barb.
-
Hold the fitting in place for a few seconds while the tubing begins to shrink back around the barb.
-
-
Allow the Tubing to Relax
-
The memory of PEX-A tubing will contract tightly around the fitting, creating a permanent, leak-resistant seal. No clamps, glue, or solvents are required.
-
Installation Tips
-
Always use the correct expansion tool and matching size expansion sleeves to ensure a proper seal.
-
Do not attempt to install fittings in cold conditions below the manufacturer’s minimum recommended installation temperature, as tubing contraction will be delayed.
-
Allow the tubing to fully relax before pressurizing the system.
-
For hydronic heating systems, ensure water chemistry is balanced to extend system life.
-
Store fittings in a dry, clean environment to prevent contamination before installation.
